Adventures of TINY TIM
SERIES
Why I
Write the Adventures of Tiny Tim Series
Tiny Tim — Timmy — is a real dog, not a fictional creation. He is a little over six years old, a 6-1/2 pound Pomeranian who was rescued from a puppy mill by a local sheriff’s department and matched with me through Shih Tzus & Fur Babies Rescue (STFRB.org) when he was three years old. He came into my life at a moment when I was carrying more grief than I knew how to handle. I had just lost my wife of fortyeight years to ovarian cancer, and the world felt unbearably heavy and quiet.
People said I rescued Timmy. The truth is he rescued me.
He didn’t erase the grief, but he softened it. He didn’t fix the pain, but he gave me something warm, joyful, and alive to hold onto. Timmy became my companion, my comfort, and eventually, my inspiration.
The Tiny Tim Series grew out of that healing. These books are not fantasy. They are not invented adventures. They are gentle, meaningful stories drawn from the life of a small dog who helped me rediscover hope.
What These Books Are Meant to Be
The Tiny Tim Series has several purposes — all intentional, all heartfelt.
A Safe, Meaningful Reading Experience for Children
These books are designed to be “safe” stories — warm, gentle, and free of fear or darkness. They give children a world where kindness matters, curiosity is rewarded, and every challenge is met with reassurance.
A Joyful Experience for
Parents and Grandparents
There is a special joy in reading a story aloud to a child — especially one that is wholesome, comforting, and meaningful. Tiny Tim books are built for that moment: the bedtime story, the quiet afternoon, the shared smile.
A ConfidenceBuilder for FirstTime Readers
Tiny Tim stories are written so early readers can:
- read them independently
- understand them fully
- enjoy them
- take pride in their accomplishment
These books help children feel capable, confident, and proud of themselves.
A Tool for Navigating New Experiences
Every Tiny Tim story depicts situations that can be cherrypicked when a child is facing something new:
- being adopted
- welcoming an adopted sibling
- meeting new friends
- visiting new places
- learning new routines
- adjusting to change
Even when a situation is perfectly benign, newness can still bring trepidation. Tiny Tim helps children walk through those moments gently.
A Legacy of Kindness
I write these books because Tiny Tim embodies the kind of gentle goodness the world needs more of. His stories are meant to leave behind something warm, wholesome, and enduring — a small light that keeps shining.
What These Books Are Not
The Tiny Tim Series is not:
A Place for fear, Trauma, or Darkness
A
Moral
Lecture
A
Superhero Saga
A
Fantasy Universe
A Substitute for Parental Guidance
These books are intentionally simple, intentionally warm, intentionally human.
Tiny Tim’s Emotional
Rules
Every Tiny Tim story follows the emotional rules you set:
- No fearbased storytelling
- No cruelty — even villains must be gentle
- No moralizing — lessons come through experience, not lectures
- No trauma, no loss, no darkness
- Always end with safety, warmth, and reassurance
Tiny Tim’s world is a place where children feel protected, valued, and capable.
Why These Books Matter to Me
I write the Tiny Tim Series because Timmy helped me heal.
I write them because children need stories that make them feel safe.
I write them because families need books they can trust.
I write them because Tiny Tim is real — and his joy is real — and I want to share that joy with others.
This is the Tiny Tim Series. This is why I write it. And this is where the gentle adventures begin.
